You probably know it: you have rented a car to spend your business trip pleasantly. However, waiting at the pickup desk of the car rental company and filling out the paperwork often takes a lot of time. In this blog, we share tips for skipping queues at Avis, Sixt, Sunny Cars and Hertz and getting into your rental car in no time!
For Avis applies that a membership can be entered into called "Avis Preferred Members. This is a loyalty program through which with every car rental, points can be saved by the traveler. As a preferred member, you enjoy various benefits and have access to a special preferred customer service team. Think of benefits such as:

- Upgrade voucher (based on availability);

- Weekend voucher (fuel, extra service and airport surcharge not included);

The number of rentals per year determines the level of your membership. In which there are three levels with the following additional benefits:

- Guaranteed car to full size with a confirmed reservation 24h in advance;
- Guaranteed upgrade at train stations and airports;

Avis quickpass service
With the quickpass service, you can rent a car contactless! Once you have made a reservation, you can enter your driver's license and payment card information on the confirmation page at Avis. Also, the booking can then be customized with extras as desired. That's it! Avis will send you a reminder via email and everything is ready for your car rental pickup! Have your ID ready, along with a payment card and driver's license, of course. After signing, you'll receive the keys, and the trip can begin.
At Sixt, it is possible to speed up car rental by using mobile check-in. To use this functionality, your organization must be signed up for a Sixt business account and you need a Sixt Business profile! Fortunately, through Uniglobe Alliance Travel, this applies by default.
Next, it is important to download the Sixt app: as this makes the steps towards your rental car much easier. Through the Sixt app or the Internet, you can select your desired car. This saves you precious effort and time. After selecting the right car, you will receive a QR code. You can show this at the counter or scan it at the corresponding key box at the pickup location. This way you receive the keys and are ready to go!
Thanks to the link with your company profile, payment details and the company discount are already applied to your reservation. It also allows you to avoid queues at the counter and no paperwork to fill out. All you have to do is upload the necessary documents in the Sixt app or via the Internet. That's another efficient car rental!
Car rental company Hertz also uses an app for mobile check-in. Create an account in the app and complete your profile by uploading documents such as your driver's license, a recent selfie and payment details. After this, your account is complete and you can use the app to rent your desired car.
The app allows you to check in at your convenience. Is your flight delayed? No problem, being able to check in at your convenience will not cause delays at the car rental location. The line at the counter can be skipped, reducing your wait time at the location. By using the app, you will automatically join the Gold Plus Rewards program. This allows you to enjoy a host of benefits:
- Expedited service: you skip the counter and enjoy expedited service at certain locations, so you can get on the road faster.
- For each eligible rental, you can earn points, which you can redeem for free rental days, upgrades and other rewards.
- You get access to exclusive discounts and offers. This makes every rental car more affordable!

At Hertz, there are several membership levels:

- President's Circle: this level you reach after renting a car 15 times or spending an amount of EUR 2,500

At Sunny Cars, it is possible to use the Fastlane Service. This allows you to skip the line and pick up your rental car right away. This service is combined with the Online
Check-in service. This means that the rental contract is already filled out for you upon arrival. All you stand to do is read through the rental contract, sign it and take the car with you.
This service is easily added when making an online booking. When the Fastlane Service is available, it is displayed on the left side of the screen in the search results. You can check this box and the search engine will then display a selection of rental cars where this service is included in the rental price! Up to 5 days before picking up the rental car, this service is available.
Because the Fastlane Service is combined with online check-in, it is mandatory to register online in advance. On the voucher is a link that allows you to enter all your details on a secure page up to 72 hours before the rental starts. This allows the fleet provider to already have the details ready when you arrive at the counter. Don't forget to sign in so the rental contract is already ready for you!
