Traveling on business from a regional airport
Have you ever thought about traveling from a regional airport? Think about Eindhoven Airport, Düsseldorf Weeze or Düsseldorf International Airport to begin your journey. Also Rotterdam The Hague Airport, Brussels Zaventem or Brussels Charleroi can be interesting departure options.
Of course, the range of these destinations is less, than if you depart from Amsterdam Schiphol Airport, but perhaps your business travel destination will also be flown from one of these airports.
Travel time and parking
Departing from a regional airport can save a lot of travel time. Toward Amsterdam, traffic is a lot busier and you may have to deal with traffic jams. In addition, parking at or near a regional airport is often cheaper.
Eindhoven Airport
You can park your car at Eindhoven Airport with several parking providers. If you want to park your car yourself, you can do so at one of the Eindhoven airport car parks, at 5-7 minutes walking distance from the terminal. There are also several external providers of parking services for short or long term parking. The car is then often parked at a parking lot in the vicinity of the city and returned to the airport for you around your arrival time.
Rotterdam- The Hague Airport
When leaving from Rotterdam-The Hague Airport, P+R Rotterdam Meijersplein is a possibility and easily accessible via the Ring Rotterdam. You can park your car for free and bus line 33 will get you to the airport within 10 minutes. Reservation is not possible, so in busy periods there is a chance that there are no more parking spaces available. Long-term parking is also inexpensive at Hotel Wings next to the terminal.
Düsseldorf International Airport
At Düsseldorf International Airport, you can also park your car for short or long periods through various suppliers. Via the Düsseldorf airport website you can book parking spaces just a few minutes' walk from the terminal. For long-term trips, also park easily at P5 where you can take the SkyTrain that takes you directly to the terminal for free and within 2 minutes. Again, several third-party parking services can be booked online. Before booking always look carefully at the reviews of other customers for example via Google. If in doubt, you're always right with the official parking!
Public transportation
Regional airports are also very easily accessible by public transportation. From Rotterdam Central Station, you can travel to the airport by bus line 33 in 25 minutes.
Eindhoven Airport is accessible from Eindhoven Central Station by scheduled bus 400 and shuttle bus 401, which will take you to the airport within 20 minutes.
To Düsseldorf Airport you can also travel well by train. From Amsterdam Central Station you will be at Düsseldorf Hauptbahnhof within 2 hours and 12 minutes, which gives you the opportunity to work during the train ride. Then another train will take you to the airport within 12 minutes. This route is included in the train ticket.
At the airport
Regional airports like Eindhoven Airport and Rotterdam The Hague Airport are smaller in size than international airports. As a result, they are more conveniently arranged and when you enter, you know immediately where you need to be. Also, it is often less crowded and you are less bothered by long queues.
Ticket price
