What is the most unique thing you have experienced/done while working?
A few years ago I had the opportunity to organize a special honeymoon for a large group. The guests did not know in advance where they were going. First, they were flown in to Milan for the wedding ceremony at a beautiful location in Italy. After the ceremony, the party left the next day for the Maldives. Here a resort had been rented exclusively for this group. After the festivities, the couple then went on a romantic honeymoon. The couple traveled from the Maldives, with a stopover in Singapore for a few days, to the beautiful Bora Bora Atoll to enjoy each other at a fantastic resort. The wedding guests flew back to the Netherlands via Dubai on Emirates.
What do you get the most energy from in your work?
No day is the same, some days you travel all over the world in your head. For example, you are working on an application in the UK and hop on to the next application for a trip to, say, Colombia. To then book a flight and hotel in Singapore. That commotion, puzzling and hectic pace is what I love.
What is your ultimate travel tip for business travelers?
Make sure your travel documents are in order. Consider a valid passport and any visa or vaccinations. Also make sure the home front is well informed of your travel plans (duty of care).
