This time in "Meet the team" we would like to introduce Marieke to you. Marieke is a Business Travel Consultant officially certified by us as a Business Travel Specialist since 2017! We ask her some questions about her work, favorite destinations, hobbies and more!
How long have you worked for UNIGLOBE and how did you get into this profession?
" Since 2017. After completing a tourism education, I worked in different industries. During this time I found out that my passion is still really in travel but that I also enjoyed working in the office immensely. My current position is the perfect combination of this. "
What is your own favorite destination?
" My favorite destination is without a doubt New Zealand."
What are your hobbies?
" Sports activities outdoors. "
What do you like about your work?
" Especially the variety. You are in charge of a booking from the moment of the first offer to the invoicing which means you experience all the steps of the booking process. In addition, we have a very nice team which creates a pleasant and positive atmosphere."
Why do you think a company should work with Alliance Travel?
" One of the biggest advantages is that we work with small teams of permanent staff so you are always helped by the same people. We have no queues on the phone and emails are answered quickly. We try to unburden travelers as much as possible, we do this by as many components of the trip (think hotel, car rental, cab) in advance so the traveler no longer needs to arrange this on the spot.
