Do I need a visa for my trip to China in 2024?
For a (business) trip to China, it has long been mandatory to hold a visa. But since Dec. 1, 2023, Dutch travelers traveling to China through Nov. 30, 2024, are no longer required to apply for a visa for stays of up to 15 days. This visa waiver is intended to promote business travel after a long period with strict conditions. In addition, it is no longer required to take a coronagraph test prior to your trip to China. Visa-free travel requirements to China
These are some important points to keep in mind when traveling visa-free to China:
- The passport must have at least 6 months of validity remaining;
- The passport must have at least 1 blank visa page;
- You must have a valid return ticket and sufficient funds for your stay in China;
- Upon arrival in China, it is necessary to fill out an "arrival card.
- At immigration/customs, your fingerprints will be taken.
